and anyone else deemed a decent player. This will then make the club a dam sight cheaper to buy and also to run. You could use academy lads and player loaned from other clubs as all clubs would muck in. Fair enough it would ruin your season but it's a small price to pay to start on the path back to stability. Guilfoyle should have done this weeks ago. Something stinks about this as if someone is pulling his strings trying to force this club to liquidation with the hope that the newco is a quick turnaround and that someone picks the club up for nothing with all the players still at the club.

Maybe Guilfoyle does not have the freedom of action that people assume he has?

Exactly Adey think someone else is pulling the strings as it would seem and it's not the RFL or HMRC.

I appreciate what you're saying (really, I do) and as the governing body they darn well should have. However, understanding what those views are would be "helpful" not only to the fans but for potential bidders too, surely.

I'm a half glass empty bloke, at the moment, and the RFL statement "Throughout this process the RFL has to recognise its responsibility to safeguard the best interests of the wider game, the competitions and all member clubs." gives me the uneasy feeling that SL doesn't hold any future for ANY Bradford side, regardless of WHO bids, for the short/medium term.

I just wish the parameters of the real options open to Bradford were visible.

Strikes me that there's a far, far wider set of agendas here, other than just my club stuffing itself . . . . . . . . .

do those championship fans really think there chairman would vote against bradford been allowed to play in there league it would be the biggest payday of the year

It certainly won't be HMRC. And yes, there has certainly been very considerable speculation regarding just how independent the administrator is, given his pre-administration role and close business links to the key protagonist (a subject on which in these litigatious times I suggest people would be wise to tread very carefully around). If that is what you were speculating about?

But I was actually speculating that, on the specific subject I was responding to, it seems to me far from impossible that his scope for action might have been restricted from within the game? I seem to recall being told that something like that happened to stop clubs going in for London players a few years ago, including ourselves, so it makes you wonder if the reason he has not sold anyone is because he cannot? Just a thought, anyway?
