The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get!

and anyone else deemed a decent player. This will then make the club a dam sight cheaper to buy and also to run. You could use academy lads and player loaned from other clubs as all clubs would muck in. Fair enough it would ruin your season but it's a small price to pay to start on the path back to stability. Guilfoyle should have done this weeks ago. Something stinks about this as if someone is pulling his strings trying to force this club to liquidation with the hope that the newco is a quick turnaround and that someone picks the club up for nothing with all the players still at the club.

I think you are overlooking a couple of salient points. The first being that the vast majority of clubs aren't looking for new players at this point as they are up to their cap (not to mention the transfer deadline has now gone by) also the most prized players are obviously the ones who are most likely to cause cap problems.

Secondly, whilst it may well make the club cheaper to run, going forward it reduces the options avbailable to any new owners and may cause problems if, for instance, the new owner intends gambling on retaining an SL position next season. It certainly wouldn't make the club more attractive to this buyer, nor would the fact that many fans probably wouldn't find the new set up very attractive to watch and this would impact on revenues.

Strangely, after putting forward the idea, you mention the most compelling reason why it won't work; ie if everything goes pear shaped they can have the players for a nothing at the end of the season.

Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

And, of course, another point overlooked is that on liquidation all contracts of employment become void, so there wouldn't be any players, all the decent ones being snapped up by other clubs for diddly squat. Happened with us at Fulham in the mid-eighties.

Still got to find the money and the cap space to pay them.

If the SL is only a 13 club league next year then there will be a bit more money for the remainder to pay players.

Where from? The salary cap will be the same, each time will have 2 fewer games so less revenue. If I were Sky, I'd be renegotiating that contract.

All clubs are continually looking to make their squads stronger. A lot of players are coming off contract this year and a lot of clubs can jig this around bringing in new players. As for transfer deadline maybe RFL could look at some dispensation for this for the good of the players/bradford/game.

If anyone wants the clubs for all the right reasons then this shouldn't be a problem and the fans should again show some loyalty no matter what the team they field.

Strangely, after putting forward the idea, you mention the most compelling reason why it won't work; ie if everything goes pear shaped they can have the players for a nothing at the end of the season.

Yes they can go for free but some teams will look at getting them now to make sure they get the player they want.

I think the contract with Sky only stipulates a minimum of 12 teams and a max of 14.

Bulliac is correct. You can't negotiate in good faith to sell the whole entity to one party whilst negotiating with a third party to sell individual parts.

Secondly, you can' t sell players without their consent and the word is a number have refused to speak to other clubs.

Sorry to kick you when you are down but, even if the players haven't spoken to other clubs, their agents will certainly be looking at options for them for next season IF the players are not going to play at Bradford.
Some may have options already and tbf, you cant baleme a guy for securing his future, regardless of how much they hope to be at Bradford next season.
