I note that in the various tit for tat statements yesterday the protagonists were RFL and Moore. Watt and Calvert did not put their names to the RFL bashing rant, neither were they named in the RFL statement or interviews.
The RFL did quite pointedly link Moore to Whitcut. I also note from the T&A story, specifically the comments from Blake Solly, that he has pretty clearly stated that the Special Measures decision relates to the BB2014 proposal.
Sometimes it is easier to see these things when you are not emotionally attached, but I get the clear impression that the RFL think a Moore led group will result in another OK style failure and want to avoid that.
It is tough love, I believe the RFL will be very supportive to the right rescue plan, but will not be supportive of the wrong one. Going back to my original point, it seems there is no dispute that the RFL told BB2014 likely sanctions on 7 Feb, that is some time ago now, yet last Friday there was contact between Calvert and Lamb - Calvert inviting Lamb to this weeks game. That is food for thought.
