Did I dream it, or did the RFL say before the season that for the first 21 games of the Super League season, each referee would officiate each club 3 times?

I know Ashley Klein going to Aus messed that up a little, but I assume the 7th referee they had each week (which has been a mix of mainly Hewer, Leahy or Child) would count as one.

But I'm sure we've now had Thaler 4 times in the league, and the 21 games isn't up.

From League games alone, I make it:

Alibert 2
Bentham 3
Ganson 1
Silverwood 3
Smith 3
Thaler 4
Child 1
Hewer 1

We also had Ganson in the cup.


We have Smith again this week, so he will have 4 games too.


So what is it?

1) I dreamt it
2) They just quietly abandoned it
3) They're muppets and can't count
4) I'm a muppet and can't count

If they stick to it then in the next 3 games we've got Ganson twice and Alibert
