Is Macca's time up? : Mon Jul 13, 2009 11:51 am
Right, most of the people are agreeing that he should go, so here's the poll. Anybody choosing no, i'd love to hear your reasoning behind it.

This may as well be "Do you support Bradford?". It would get the same result I feel....

I'm not a Bradford fan, but based on pure common sense and logic I've voted "Yes". Macnamara has turned Bradford into an embarrassment, and every week he stays in the job, your reputation is going to get worse and worse, making it harder and harder to entice top players. He has to go.

Another day, another defeat, another Should Macnamara go poll.

It's Groundhog Day.

But what's the point? Macca is going nowhere is he? I think we all know that.

Ask on eof your mods to remove my vote.

However i do feel it is a rather loaded question as i would expect even Maccas wife to want him replaced..

What i do feel however is that you need some perspective and need to be looking at root and branch reform of the WHOLE club.

Aussie imports are going to be rare and far between. Criminal records and stringent working rules have seen to that. The teams who will do well are those who have got good academies and can then top them up with good imports either British or foreign. You have an ageing , injury prone team who have not been able to replace like with like with the players you have lost. None of that is Maccas fault.

The situation that Bradford are in now would not be much different if you had steve Volkes as coach.

As fans you need to regroup and get behind YOUR team and let the owners, chairman etc get around to sorting the club out. None of that is going to be solved with getting rid of Macca

I don't think thats true really. Two "older" players does not make an aging team. Averages anyone? I might be wrong but I don't think we are the oldest squad in SL by any means.

Now the injury prone bit I'm not going to argue with...

average age of our squad is 23. Including players like Olbison, Donaldson etc. (the ones with squad numbers.) Without these its around 26/27.
