The precariouness of this season with injuries already showing with Yorks Morgan Smith suffering an ACL. Gutting for the lad and a big blow for York. Think luck with injuries going to play a huge part this season.

With two more ACLs to be announced by the clubs meaning it's going to be a long season.

When I spoke to John Kear on Tuesday, he reported bumps and knocks, nothing serious, so keeping those fingers crossed.

Ant walker on a 1 month trial confirmed.

Also if anyone wants to feel old, Matt Callands son is also on a month's trial.

Good luck to him. I thought Matt could have played for GB but for injuries.

Cameron Smith, Tom Burgess and those are the ones I’d expect to be on trial whether they would be good enough for a club of our stature though...

Agreed.

Champ clubs signing proven SL players left right and centre at the min and here we are offering 1 month trials to an unknown acadamy player and someone who hasnt been able to play for 3 and half years (im glad hes over his health issues)

Sadly we are competing with Dews and Batley now off the field.
I get it, I understand it, but its sad to see.

Kear has done this before with us I’m sure, given a lad a trial in pre season
