Agreed, with a bit of luck (and we're due some) we should have our big name players fit, fresh and ready for the play-offs.

Makes a change from Jimmy's tactics of just hammering key players in pointless games so they were knackard for the crucial part.

I remember different resting players against fax and losing the home advantage against wakey cos of it

A good win considering Newcastle pushed Fax very hard last week

That was one of those games where the scoreline is a bit misleading. We dominated the first half but again with no goal kicker didn't convert any of our 3 tries and then with us in total control managed to get a player sin binned for a late tackle which gave Newcastle a sniff but they really never looked like winning. They are second only to Swinton as the worst team we have played this season, they really offer nothing in attack which is a little surprising considering some of the players they have. Its going to take a big drop off in form to remove Fax and Bradford from those 3 and 4 spots now and going on form the best route certainly looks to be London at home then Fev away.

True but I was more referring to Jimmy flogging the likes of O'brien every game throughout the season against teams like Hunslet when we were pretty much guaranteed second place finish.

Only thing I'll say about that Fax game is I don't think anyone expected Wakey to lose to Sheffield the day after. If Wakey had to win that to get home advantage I fully expect they'd have won that game anyway IMO

If the squad list is still correct - we only have Brough, Murphy, the Evans brothers and Brad Gallagher for next year at the moment.

I would love to have the Newcastle centre Gill playing for us. That lad knows where the try line is. Great scoring record.
