I have always rated Richard Lewis as undoubtedly the greatest visionary of the modern game.
Sir Rodney Walker, by contrast, was a less cultivated man than Lewis --- an ambitious man to be sure, but cut from a different, cheaper cloth.
Obviously as chairman of Sports England Lewis cannot show any partiality towards rugby league. The real question now is what can he do, from his part time perch as chairman of the RLEF, that will help RL in the UK and France.
