Thought this was a thread on the ref..not a "our forrads are better then thine" thread, For what its worth i thought he had a good game and is one of the better referee's, it could have been worse terry halle berry could have been in charge

Saints pack won it for them, but i would still say Bailey was the best forward on the field, had Peacock, Kylie, Burgess, Ablett, etc showed up at even 80% of what Bailey did Leeds would have won, but they didnt they were dominated by the saints pack

I didn't agree either.

Bailey is getting a lot like Morley was a few years ago. Getting renowned more for trying to cause trouble and having petty squabbles than keeping his mind on the game and doing anything constructive.

Don't get me wrong I think Morley is a lot better player than Bailey is or will be but it reminds me of the same thing happening again. Thankfully Morley has now settled down again and is playing the game hard but fair. Let's hope Bailey does the same or he will come a cropper soon enough as he isn't in the same league as Morley when it comes to hardness.

i dont know if we can blame the refs for this because it seems to happen every game now, there doesnt seem to be a consistant approach for it to be refereed, he has let plenty go but punished lesser offences which (whilst im not saying it has happened in this case because Saints have been the better team) can mean the game isnt won by the best team

at the moment that part of the game is almost universally poorly refereed,

saying that he reffed it well during a hot few minutes but he let some pretty poor stuff go

The biggest problem at the play the ball is that they don't.

The majority of players now don't play the ball with their foot. We are obsessed with quick play the balls and dummy half scoots.

The real hooker craftsmen are being lost to the game, players who could open up a defence with a great pass, and being replaced by the Highams and Robys of this world.

Make the players play the ball correctly or penalise them until they do.
