Depends on the time of year mate. High tourist season (the RL season) everything takes longer in the Lakes, particularly the South Lakes.

The number of times I missed KO at Derwent Park or the Recre stuck behind a muppet in a caravan or even worse a farmer inexplicably choosing that time to shift his livestock. I still have nightmares about trying to get anywhere quickly in Cumbria. Other places may have more traffic, but they also have more routes, that means there is an alternative if the main route gets blocked!

Surely its got nothing to do with what happened in the last 5 years, I would imagine its got more to do with what happens in the next 5?
