Maybe these small clubs should worry about increasing their own support base rather than relying on 1000's of away fans pouring money into their coffers every other week.
Hull and hull kr receive the lowest level of away support (Hull derbies apart) of any club I would have thought as many people use the trip to london or S France as a weekend away, and Hull is a fair trek for many away fans. I think the biggest ever non derby visiting support at the KC was only around 2k by Bradford a few years ago when the attendance almost reached 20k. If Hull had the same number of visiting supporters as wigan or leeds then we'd average 15k plus
