Would it be better for Salford to voluntarily drop into the Championship if that's the case, in order to make it easier for them financially?
YES - Their spokesman said going to Moor Lane would mean the club would have to go part time to make ends meet............Anyway there's clearly a list of clubs who would like to take their place.......
Produced just before the new season started.........Fev, Toulouse, Newcastle, york Bradford etc.....

There was pressure from the one-size-fits-all licensing criteria, which distorted priorities and to varying degrees and in different ways harmed several clubs. Those clubs still bear some of the responsibility but they did have the Sword of Damocles of losing their place in SL hanging over them - that isn’t how it turned out but it was very much how it was sold.
"Council hand Reds stadium boost"
Salford have been given the green light by the city council to go ahead with plans to build a new 20,000-seater stadium near the M62 motorway. The Reds submitted plans for a £32m stadium, along with a hotel, shopping and leisure facilities, on a 30-hectare brown-field site near junction 11.
Now the council has given the plan its backing, the final say will rest with Government Office North West.Salford have been at their home The Willows for the last 100 years.

I'm sorry if your upset about the clubs situation, Other fine clubs have also ended up the way Salford are sadly going, many fans of these clubs of course are very disappointed. I'll leave you alone....

Slim, you are defensive and your posting style is bordering on aggressive but calling someone out for failing to answer your question whilst failing to answer mine doesn't help your argument.
I'll ask you again, in what way do you think that the new stadium a millstone to your club?

Definition: To be like a millstone around your neck "to be a responsibility that is difficult to bear and causes you trouble"
Pretty simple.... it's too expensive for us to play there as the rent is high and we get nothing financially out of the stadium in return. ie, no match day revenue from food/drink sales etc.
We can't afford to play there = millstone. Not really that difficult to understand is it?
And nice to see you defending the trolls on here, shows just how far this site has fallen in the past few years.
The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

I was at the meeting last Thursday NOBODY I repeat NOBODY said the club would have to go part time, so why are you getting off on this site making sh*t up ????
I'm not defending anyone at all, mine was a simple question that you initially failed to answer and btw not everything that you perceive to be anti Salford is trolling although you do tend to react that way. Thanks for answering my GENIUNE question again you've decided to have a go when there simply is no need.
I do know what a millstone is and googled the same definition before posting just to be sure we were going to discuss the same. My follow up question is who do you think is responsible for that millstone, is it one party in particular, or a mass conspiracy by the 'powers that be' and additionally does your club have any responsibility?

I don't feel the need to repeat myself thanks Rico. I've already mentioned earlier in this thread about why the club were forced to move from The Willows so feel free to scroll back and have a read.
PS. If a thread about Salford is started by Donny/LeBron/Jean/Poky etc I think we all know what the intended purpose is. Forgive me if I dislike trolls but I'll happily call out the lowlifes every time.
PPS. I've just re-read Donny's original post and he's quite clearly twisted a couple of the "facts" he's posted to suit his agenda. So yeah he's a sh*t-stirrer and he's got the rise he set out to get.
