As expected England have dropped down to 4th after what has to be seen as a disappointing World Cup campaign.

Top 5

1. Australia +3
2. New Zealand -1
3. Samoa +4
4. England -1
5. Tonga -3

This now means that we’ll be on the same side of the draw as Australia at the next World Cup and will need to beat them to get to the final.

IMO there has to be an inquest into how you go from sticking 60 points on a team to a few weeks later being beaten convincing and knocked down the rankings by the same side. To have the opportunity to get to a final without facing either Aus or NZ to the position we are in now.

No inquest needed. If Lomax and Percival were fit, we win that Samoa game easily and the final
