Whats your opinion of him? Is he the replacement for klien or just a stop gap?

I personally think he had a decent game.

He's a good referee, but he's an easy target because he's not English.

Spot on. He makes mistakes like they all do, but I reckon he has the makings of a decent ref.

He was more vocal with the players on Saturday than when I have seen him previously, whether that's because he's more confident with the language I don't know. Communication is important between referee and players though, otherwise you end up like Steve Ganson.
