I wish everyone would read bramleyrhino's post two or three times just to get it through some thick skulls

Mr bramleyrhino speaks a lot of sense.

I paid for my season ticket

The Leeds game should have been a full house though.

Nothing cynical about it, I am sure a lot of those who went to games only went due to the free ticket offer but its still good to see some decent crowds for the games.

I think it was a great idea really to get the fans into games where probably wouldn't go if they already hadnt paid for it. The money theh clubs will of got will be from booze and food money which im sure might of being more than if people had to pay to get in. I feel bad for bradford fans were yes it was a 'free' game but you had to travel to france for it.
I think we should deff keep it for next year

Me too.

Personally, I think this is evidence that the RFL decision to have SL clubs' season tickets include 1 free CC game (something which fans on here and eslewhere have been calmouring for) is vindicated

The free ticket idea may have proved a success but its a waste of time for the RFL when they continue to ruin the cup by playing rounds sometimes as much as 7 weeks apart and hold Cup Draws behind closed doors to be announced "via the wires" by the press association (as they are doing tomorrow).

Get the rounds played 2-3 weeks apart towards the back end of the season, as it once was, with the draws being televised Live after the TV games and they wouldn't need to offer free tickets to get the interest going. :D

The Quarter Finals are on 29-31 May and the Semis are 8/9 Aug. Thats actually 10 weeks this year, worse than I thought. A pathetically long delay between rounds!
