41,861 attended 16 CC fixtures at an average of 2,616.

A figure marginally boosted in comparison to last year in all probability by the 5 fixtures involving all SL clubs.

Recent CC Round 4 Attendance History
2014: 41,861/16 = 2,616 (5 all SL fixtures)
2013: 38,953/16 = 2,435 (2 all SL fixtures)
2012: 45,219/16 = 2,826 (4 all SL fixtures)
2011: 54,265/16 = 3,392 (1 all SL fixtures)
2010: 61,577/16 = 3,849 (4 all SL fixtures)
2009: 68,315/16 = 4,270 (5 all SL fixtures)

Free admission to CC games is perhaps the only way to rescue attendances as the modern day season-ticketed fan of Sooper Dooper League and it's parent company Sky Sports are averse to coughing up the dosh for one-off cup games.

The very same logic applies to SL play-offs because their attendances also reside in the embarrassment category.

Er, no, it isn't. People either go to something they want to go to nowadays, or they don't. If they want to go they will pay a modest fee which is a fair description of all CC tickets. Making it free would not attract any significant extra numbers. If I just don't fancy an event, the I won't go, whether or not I have a free ticket.

More nonsense, I'm afraid. Anyone is allowed to go, you do not have to be a "season-ticketed fan of Sooper Dooper League". I happen to be what you would call a "season-ticketed fan of Sooper Dooper League" and I was not averse to coughing up the dosh to go, so your simplistic theory is immediately disproved.

It is what it is, though. I don't know anybody who feels "embarrassed" about say the Bulls attendance, and I'm afraid anti-RL axe-grinders like you being vicariously embarrassed on the game's behalf doesn't count.

No it's not. Automatic cup scheme for all season ticket holders at a reduced rate is the way.

The attendance at CC games increases thanks to the draw????? F**k.....what is next weeks thread going to be......'Don't pi** into the wind'.

Imagine what it would've have been if the best supported clubs (Leeds, Wigan, Wire, Saints) had been the home teams instead and Hull had played at the weekend instead of Thursday. Another 10,000+ at least.
