Marshall, Lockyer and Barrett have been the only proper stand offs in the NRL since Fitler retired. And even Lockyer only moved from FB a few years ago.

The NRL isn't short of quality halfbacks. Compare Cronk, Thurston, Prince, Orford and Pearce with Long, Deacon, Briers, Thorman and Tim Smith. There is no comparison.
