I think there is so much equality in squads below the top 2 this year that other factors like coaching quality, team balance, desire, focus are having a much bigger effect than we've ever seen before. Bradfords squad on paper is pretty good, i cant see much wrong with it. But Mcnamara's been unconvincing since day 1 and he's brought in a few average players. They cant just turn up and win any more.

fair enough i''m not belittling FC's achievements i was merely commenting on how most fans and indeed the media view it

and dont forget we've been to the cup final too

Bradford have bought lots of players but have not actually built a team.

They might not have the same big names than perhaps Wigan and Warrington have but I do not think that Steve McNamara has the experience to be able to construct a squad.

I would perhaps not sack him but definately look to bring in another coach and have McNamara as his assistant. I think Steve could be a successful coach in years to come but needs more experience as a No2 before he can be successful as a top flight coach.

after being at todays match, the trouble with bradford at the moment is they are all braun and no brains, relying on their strong pack, yet there forwards were outmuscled by the hull pack, this was also commented on by andy giddens the west yorkshire commentator

Really? Must have missed the CC cup win and GF appearance from Hudds and Wakey. Go figure.

:? Is that in terms of winning things or league positions?

In terms of winning things, Saints, Bradford and Leeds are the top 3 of the SL era so far.

As to the original post - it was a blatant attempt at trolling from the Huddersfield fan and to which i'll ignore.

However, in terms of Bradford - we can't do the basics and that is down to our coaching, it is full of coaches who are straight our of amateur level.

We have one of, if not the best pack in the league but the backs really are poor. We'll be a force again, but we need some direction and a bit of a shake up in the backs before we get there. It'll be a few years, but we've rebuilt our youth setup and have some seriously promising players on the up.

we have been struggling for a few years now and i would seriously look into sacking SM and his poor coaching staff. it has been so obvious in recent seasons that we lack the speed to challange the likes of saints and leeds but nothing has been done about it.
the only saving grace is that we have been investing in quality young players at youth level but it will be a few years before we see the benefits of this
