As an outsider looking in, it seems a terrible decision. I keep reading what a poor season Hull KR had last season from their supporters, what I would have given for a trip to Wembley and a 100% record in the Qualifiers. They only missed out on the play-offs by two points as well, all this with Campese missing as mentioned above from May onwards. If you looked at their 2015 squad, you would say the finished in the league where you would have expected and over achieved in the cup.
This season their injury list is terrible, with many key players missing. I thought a point at home to Castleford was a good result for them and very encouraging off the back of their pre-season thumping by Hull, yes they were comprehensively beaten by Warrington (wont be the first and last team to do so this season) and they should have beaten Wakefield if it wasn't for their inability to convert their tries from near enough bang in front of the posts.
Nobody else could have done a better job given the circumstances.
