The 3 racist incidents in 2019 won't have helped with Fev's bid.

that would be the worse thing for them to do skipping the championship to join in the super league not only would it alienate the fans but to reach anything like competative would be a massive ask, we still haven't heard anything about toronto club whether they intend to play in the championship, maybe they can get that american league up and running toronto, ottawa and new york

:o Your not teasing me are you  The North American clubs are just looking for some $Billionaires with a little more staying power to set this up. Why is it people can dream all this, but I can't dream of Newcastle straight to Superleague? :x

In terms of the Toulouse bid I have just counted their imports in the current squad. They only have five French players in the first choice matchday 17.....Much like Les Catalans. If we had two French clubs in Superleague, with few if any Frenchmen in them would that work for you?

Not really a golden ticket! It’s not a level playing field. So who has the money to waste? Who has the balls to spend?

It's still a "free" entry into the top flight, something which usually has to be earned on the field of play and even though there should be full funding, in line with the other 11 clubs, the circa £1,000,000 is still significantly more than any Championship club will receive.
All SL clubs should receive the same funding, although this is RL and what's "right" doesn't seem to matter.

Erm you quite clearly stated Salford should be worried about Leigh purely based on the fact our coach has left with sod all else to back it up. :? You said nothing about us being fine (read your own post again "buddy" :thumb: ).

And I've had a look at Leigh's current squad. No offence to Leythers but it's packed full of SL cast-offs who in most cases are Championship standard. I see nothing in that squad to think they'll finish anywhere near Salford next season if fast-tracked into SL. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that either.

Agreed - Leigh 6th Salford 12th.

I wonder if this is the reason we haven't heard anything from the Bulls apart from we have submitted a bid, every other club has these fancy videos.

Are they that fancy though? I'm no good with computers but people I know could throw up a decent promo video pretty quickly. Having watched a few they don't go into any great depth either, maybe they all suffice as a "token bid"...

It struck me that Bulls were hot favourites in the way which Mr, Beaumont seemed happy to declare he would spend spend spend if those kind gents at Superleague would let him come in this year, but if not, no matter Degsy will still go all out to win the championship and spend spend spend later.

People doubt Bulls can put up much of a show 2021 and are just going to collapse and go down again. Relegation could easily happen, but what I don't think will happen is it will be in car crash fashion. The business plan must involve the possibility of relegation and return, so why does relegation have to be ruination? why is there this all or nothing idea? The end of the 2021 season will see what Superleague promised and that was "promotion and relegation next year"...........

If we give those who run the game and run the Bulls some credit it may be that like Hull Kingston Rovers before them they go down with only a handful of wins 2021 but then like HKR they go on to win the Championship 2022. HKR fans disappeared in droves during their very bad times in the early 2000's but in the season they had recently when relegated to the Championship they came straight back with bigger crowds than when they were in Superleague.

All this depends on Bulls getting the SL place and then looking to the fans go get behind them as they build even if they went down first go.

HKR fans were not put off by Relegation and there's less of them......

yes you can dream about it but they would have to replace just about the full squad to be anything like good enough and within that short space of time would be a massive task to even find them, at least they would get paid tho

Its significant that Championship clubs have already recruited players with existing and new contracts in place, which Leigh have done at a significant cost. Everything is significantly against the twelth club. The £1m in central funding is irrelevant when clubs have built their squads to compete in the Championship.

Interesting though that Bradford feel they don't need a promotion video to be successful in their <cough> "application" !

People doubt Bulls can put up much of a show 2021 and are just going to collapse and go down again. Relegation could easily happen, but what I don't think will happen is it will be in car crash fashion.

Personally I don't think it would be a "car crash", the top 4 of Championship are now so much closer to the bottom 4 of Super Dooper League !

The business plan must involve the possibility of relegation and return, so why does relegation have to be ruination? why is there this all or nothing idea? The end of the 2021 season will see what Superleague promised and that was "promotion & relegation return next year"...........

Do you really believe that, if has been rumoured more often than not, the RFL & SLE have engineered the criteria to only favour Bradford Bulls & that the RFL see the return of a paying tenant & that one of the "old boys" from the Old Boys Club stands to benefit in his investment into Bradford Bulls that, should Bradford be in a position with any chance be relegated, that the RFL & SLE won't step in to put a stop to that ? In the same way that the RFL actively prevented the relegation of Wigan following their "survival" by cheating the Salary Cap & being excessively lenient in their punishment, the RFL *with a vested interest* will about turn to put a stop to any chance of losing Bradford & Odsal !!!

Ask yourself about the *vested interests* of the RFL & the criteria manipulation & I challenge you to come up with any other conclusion !

Well I take your points entirely Ste, However the fact is SL appeared to guarantee there "will be P & R next year" so I just don't see them stepping in in such a crass and damaging way. Sure the Wigan scenario was sneaky but just removing the promotion promised I can't see it at all.

I don't see Mr. Beaumont jumping up and down either, he seems calm enough to go with the flow of competing for an SL place 2022, and his track record is that he's not worried about going mad with the RFL/SL - he hammered them over the unfair lower salary cap for top Championship clubs who had to play Superleague clubs in the MPG.

It smells of Bradford up this coming season 2021 and Leigh up the following year for 2022.. But I suppose Mr. B has to make sure his 2022 side can see off Fev and York. Do you think Mr. B would go mad if they did choose Bulls??

I agree that's what will happen. Mr. B did say if Leigh wasn't the chosen club, then he thinks it should be Toulouse. Would he go mad if it was the Bulls? probably not, just disappointed that it wasn't Leigh.
