You haven't released him, it's a loan move so as he is still on your books I'd guess it still counts?

This is a rugby forum for all clubs to discuss things like this, I'm interested in rugby that's why we are discussing it, not sure why that's difficult to understand?

Considering you've slated Rovers for using too many overseas players, you really don't understand the rules do you. If he is no longer at Hull KR then how can he be counted on the non-fed list? We only have 7 players classed as non-fed who can play for us the for rest of the season so why would he still count? You could have 15 non-fed on your books but if only 7 are registered to play then you aren't breaking any rules.

Ahh yes, this brings back memories of the Dobson/Mason fiasco. Another example of Rovers bending the Non-Fed/Quota rules.

Abdul isn't our best young player to be fair and yes we took him from you, he was at Leeds first though if you want to get technical.

Just want to check I'm correct, apart from Abdul (who is on loan at Rovers) all out other young players are bang average and yours are brilliant, if you think this you have seen the likes of Litten or Brown.

I've heard the same thing from Rovers fans for years, but I've only seen Taylor and Wilkin come through your system to make a big impact of the game and both quickly moved to bigger clubs.

Having watched a lot of the academy and young players at both clubs, there are some with great potentialat both clubs, let's just how each clubs develops them.

To be fair I think we're both rubbish at bringing young kids through, if you look how many made the England squad in the last few years and its pretty poor. Wilkin, Taylor, Yeaman and Hodgson are the only ones I can think of and Taylor is far from a regular.

Hulls development policy over recent years has gone backwards seemingly preferring to buy in then develop, one thing our stint in the championship has done is allow us to blood a lot of young kids

Interesting. Cas have just lost Eden for the year?

Usually would think of clubs around the middle 8's trying to boost chances of staying up or promotion ...

Hull KR have got Masoe so haven't got room now I believe, not sure Fax or Fev would bother, London?

Wire recently signed some backs, Widnes, Leigh or Catalans maybe?

That wasn't a fiasco  . One player was released and another brought in. Quite simple really.

George Riley summarises the Dobson/Mason situation quite well, branding it "ridiculous": http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/georgeriley/ ... on_sa.html

Stay humble.
