I’ve never been to Catalan so can’t comment on their home support however I have been to Wilderspool and the Halliwell many times. In fact one of my earliest RL memories was at Main Rd when Joe Lydon kicked that drop goal. At all games against Warrington I’ve had issues with their supporters that I’ve not had anywhere else. I’m not in the least surprised an incident like this involves them.

To stress this is only a minority, the majority including many posters on here are sensible well behaved supporters.

Unfortunately this has happened, RL now needs to deal with it. I hope they do so very harshly to send a message out to the minority of idiots at all clubs who fancy a bit of it.

If Kenny Edwards tried to stir up the crowd then he should be punished by the RFL.

However even if that is true, it is no excuse for the violent aggression of certain Warrington fans against the Catalans VIP box.

It was pathetic behaviour from both sets of players. Quite why they were so wound up when the game was dead and buried is strange.

But both sets of players are to blame.

There needs to be plenty of bans for individuals and perhaps some kind of club punishment for both.

Yup! Seen it at the GF and even more bizarrely some Wire muppets in the car park at Wembley even though they had won and they didn't even stay in the ground to watch the trophy presentation. Strange lot!

I wasn't there either, have also never been to Catalans away, and really couldn't care less about some scrapping that had nothing to do with me. I haven't seen the game because I've been at a music festival in Blackpool all weekend, but the main thing that concerns me is yet another dreadful result to add to the recent list (and I have been at all of our defeats this season other than the two in Perpignan). I'm also concerned about the apparent injury to Austin and any bans our players might get after Saturday. A bit of scrapping in the stands at a match I wasn't at? Erm, no, sorry, not my problem.
