Re: Stadium Developments : Sun Dec 04, 2011 10:29 pm
I look stupid? Its the worse stadium in top level football codes in this country. Craven Park and Odsal are dated but are actually stadia. Belle Vue is just a jumbled mess with some council flats at one end. I have no problem with Wakey or their great fans but don't bury your heads in the sand and just come back with insults! Its terrible! And yes I also cringe slightly at Hudds and Broncoquins (who I support) in bigger new stadia with lots of empty seats.

So Belle Vue's worse than Whitebank?

Despite having three times the capacity of many lower division teams, superb hospitality, 22 executive boxes, computerised turnstyle systems, new toilets, new food oulets, new bars, new dressing rooms, new state of the art physio room, and with the new roofs going in there'll be cover for 8,000 and nearly 5,000 seats, you still think its THE WORST in all three pro divisions of Rugby League?

You are an idiot, a troll or both!

No ones under any illusion that a new stadium is needed but your statement is just ridiculous.

i think he meant it was the worst pro stadium( top flight) in the 3 footy codes, league, union and soccer, not the top 3 rugby league leagues

It's been fun.

The thing i'm looking forward to with the HJ is the new acoustics, people used to complain about the leaking atmosphere with the old design, lets see if that was an excuse or not. The atmosphere as rarely if ever lived up to Wilderspool.

Is it a permanent big video screen going in, like at Headingley?

One going up at Craven Park soon too. Not an HD one but the plasma one that was in Hull City Centre.

http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.u ... story.html

There are more recent stories on this too and was said it would be up before the start of next season. Just hope it works for longer than the last electric one we had!!!!

Popular, but daft, myth.
