Don't know where you pulled that from but no FC fans have ever stated this AFAIK, there was a massive ruckus about switching to Friday night games a few years back. Most fans would be far happier with Sunday afternoon games with the odd Friday night but never Thursdays..
With a large fanbase of kids plus people still having to work the next day this is harmful in every single way possible, if the Warry game had being Sunday it would have being 14K and allowed your lot to come over in greater numbers too.
Thursday matches are an absolute load of carp..

I've never understood why people prefer Sunday home games. In my experience travelling on a Sunday is actually more difficult a lot of the time, and the atmosphere at grounds is nowhere near as good as on Fridays.
I would agree that Thursday games are a terrible idea.

i agree friday night games do have a much better atmosphere.

huddersfield did a survey about changing to fridays last season but the majority wanted to stick with sundays.. alot of children and families or older generation prefer the sunday..which is hudds demographic fan base.

Got it from FC fans. They stated that there was a switch to Sunday games a few years back and less people showed up. Friday was voted, by Hull FC fans, as the preferred day.. According to Hull fans.

No, I can read, a lot of fans hate Thursday nights & prefer Sundays. the grumblings I mentioned about Thursday night games happen to be accurate or do you think 4 or 5 supporters on here that might think Thursdays are a great idea constitutes what the majority of fans want

I'm sure most people do prefer Sundays to Thursdays. Unfortunately no one even mentioned Thursdays, so maybe your reading isn't that great afterall.

staying on the FC theme, Adam Pearson has mentioned the lack of families in attendance on a Friday night, but it's all outweighed as the loyal corporates prefer Friday night. He also mentioned the lack of away support. Add in the grief we get from the mad phoney doctor and his lack of refreshment sales and I actually wonder how long the club can sustain Friday night rugby.
Families contain the future of the club, without them a club will struggle.

As for fans opinions. I think we had two surveys which nobody but a select few dozen were privy to and bingo Friday nights were born. We were also told it would help the players recoup as they'd get a full week. Sadly many of us with half a brain cell saw right through that one as well.

As Garry Schofield said last night Sunday afternoon is when matches should be played. Leave Friday and either Thursday / Saturday for TV games this boosting the audience watching live.
For me the ones who seem most vocal about Friday's are the ones who incorporate their Friday bender around the match.

Are Friday's really that bad for families? I can understand Thursday's being more of an issue but surely the kids can stay up once every other Friday? In fact during the summer a lot of families will be having days out at the beach etc on Sunday. That isn't an issue on Friday nights.

Personally I aren't that bothered. It makes no difference to my ability to attend. Hell they could play at 10am on a Tuesday for me as far as that's concerned. Going to games on a Friday means you can't watch the TV games which I like to do (not live anyway), but on Sunday's it interferes with my being in the golf course or whatever else I want to do on a weekend. So there's pros and cons for both.
