Infortunately some fans will as they do with Magic weekend. They watch their own team then go home, cannot understand it myself.

Also agree with another poster in that I cannot understand why the RFL put the England game on first at Cardiff. Madness.

I thought they were showing both faves love, would they really be that bothered about the time of the England game?

They are using the 2.30pm Saturday slot on BBC for the England games throughout the tournament - I suspect the BBC want this and not to have to relegate that game to BBC2 at 4.30pm.
You also have the fact that the earlier the game, the better it is for Australian TV.

I also think it is quite good that Wales v Italy is not just being treated as a curtain raiser for the England game, there will be plenty of Welsh fans supporting their team, plus I expect plenty of England fans to stay too, I know I will be.

England need to win Group A or to finish 3rd in the group for that to happen...If they finish 3rd, then they will met Australia in the 2nd Wembley Semi-Final and I believe Fiji would play NZ in the curtain raiser.

Can't see past England v Kiwis and Fiji v Australia in the semi's though....anyone who thinks the Australians might be tired, or not up for it doesn't understand Australians....they are smarting from 2008 and want their Trophy back.

The 4th semi finalist is wide open. Fiji are good, PNG are good, Samoa are good, Tonga are good, Italy are good, Scotland are good. France have two home games so might sneak a quarter final against a team they can beat.

Only the Welsh, irish. Cooks and USA seem to be forlorn hope teams.

What makes you so certain it will be Fiji? There's a few teams that look stronger (depending on who's available)

The other semi-finalist will be1 from:
Fiji
PNG
France
Samoa

The teams in Groups C and D have no chance.....if they win their group they then play one of England, Australia and New Zealand in their quarter final.

Fiji only need to beat Ireland to make the Quarter-Finals.....whereas the other 3 will have knocked lumps out of each other. PNG are an unknown, I don't see the French being much stronger than 2008 when they were poor and Samoa looked decidedly average v Tonga earlier this year.

The more I think about it, Fiji v PNG could well be the Quarter final that decides who loses to Australia in the second Wembley game.

QF1. NZ v Tonga
SF1. NZ v England
QF3. England v Samoa
FINAL: England v Australia
QF2. Australia v Wales
SF2. Australia v Fiji
QF4. PNG v Fiji

Good enough to beat Australia, England or New Zealand in a RLWC Quarter-Final?
