In my teenage years, I used to play quite a bit of 'Championship Manager' on the computer.
Just to make things easier, I would invent another manager and 'take over' Man Utd. This had a number of benefits:
1) If any of my players turned out to be rubbish, I could 'buy' them as the Man Utd manager, giving me more money at Leeds Utd for the wages of other players.
2) If I couldn't afford a player, I'd 'buy' him for Man Utd and then at a much cheaper rate make the transfer from Man U to Leeds. Sometimes it was worthwhile buying good young players and leaving them at Man U for a while, a kind of "feeder team" before I brought them to Leeds if and when they were good enough.
3) I could reley on 6 points every season, with a big scoreline to boot.
4) IT WAS CHEATING.
