In fairness, King has had a good start to the year but overall since his arrival has been disappointing. I'd suggest that six good games doesn't compensate for number of extremely poor ones.
He may go on to win MOS this year and prove to be the best around, but don't get ahead of yourself so early in the season.
Overall King is now in a positive balance in terms of being worth it as a signing:
2008 - slow start, decent mid season, average end
2009 - slow start, very good mid season, decent end
2010 - very good start
While Cullen and Lowes were coach, he was generally ordinary apart from a good run in mid 2008, and not worth the money Warrington shelled out. However since Smith has been coach he has been one of the best strike centres in the league, his try scoring record is good and he's done damage more in line with what he did in Australia.
Also King does look to me like a good overseas pro, he's committed and hard working and didn't sulk when he was getting a lot of criticism early on, he manned up, admitted he was crap to the press, and knuckled down and now he's doing the business.
