Jack Walker is the exception not the rule in terms of players developing into Super League players. Despite this Leeds had, and still do have another Full Back in Ashton Golding. My original point was Super League clubs don’t put inexperienced 18 year olds as first choice first team players. This was the case in 2018 when Ashton Golding was given the number 1 shirt.

It's not a case of age, but whether a player is good enough. Walker is the exception rather than the rule in that he's young and not looked out of place in SL, and fwiw I rate him over Golding.
I cannot see the Senior's in a starting line up until there's a crop of injuries, but if they keep grasping their opportunities they will do in time. It's also hard for youngsters to remain consistent week in week out, with Harvey Livett being a good example this season, and he's 20. We desperately need a reserves or under 21's for players to continue to develop once they no longer qualify for under 19's.

WRT to Walker and Golding neither would really have played much in 2017 (and possibly 2018) if Hardaker wasn’t such a problem that we had to eventually let go mid 2016.

With the series wrapped up I think it’s only fair to give the squad players a run out and give the players from the first 2 tests a rest before pre season starts

Well I can see 2 enforced changes with George Burgess getting a ban for an eye gouge and doubt Clark will play next week as he looked in a lot of pain.

I doubt even LeBron would be stupid enough to circumnavigate a "term ban" with a different ID as such actions are punishable with a life ban.......but, I agree that Makinson has been immense this year and his performance in the 2nd test in both attack and defense was a MotM effort

I would say that Makinsons performance was the greatest ever from an England/GB player, certainly in my lifetime anyway. I always knew he was a good/handy player but i never knew he was capable of such a truly world class performance.

Bennett, of course, won't be looking at 'dropping' Makinson especially not with how well he's played but the only way I can see Johnstone playing is if he wants to have a look at him against a proper Test side. Knowing Bennett though he'll keep the same side, except for any changes he's forced to make and look for a 3-0 whitewash.

And he's be right to do this, as winning is a habit and momentum (as hard as it is in the scatter-gun international calendar) is everything. This England side will tour as GB next year......then host 'stralia the year after before the RLWC........remain unbeaten and you build an aura of invisibility.
