The thing that has dissappointed me most about Widnes is the way that since they won the cup (albeit with a team of SL loanees) and thus ticked that box they seem to have disgarded the playing side of things and are no more than an also ran in the championship. It almost as if it's job done, feet up and a big fat cigar.

At least fax have kept on winning.

So its Widnes with Fax getting a 2nd change to prove themselves against other Super League clubs.

Barrow out of the running full for the stadium.

it's so important that a"promoted" team has more time to prepare that if two teams are "promoted" then the second one wont have it

Indeed and the kudos he gave both Widnes and Halifax leaves with a nagging feeling that it had a hidden meaning.

i ageree, the way that Dickie and the sky sports newsreaders were talking, fax will get in in july with 2 current SL clubs going down

Halifax now get bundled up with the current 14 SL teams of which 13 will be picked.

Yes, Halifax go forward to July 26th. Barrow don't. So 13 to choose from 14 applicants.

Credit to the Widnes board for making it a formality. They did what the RFL wanted of them so deserve their shot at SL.
