Macnamara would be a disaster.

Steven Macnamara has been an apprentice to Trent Robinson for a couple of years now. As we all know TR is one of the best coaches in the NRL, which means one of the best in the world. Surely some of TR's wisdom would have been absorbed by Steven Macnamara, thereby giving the Hull KR team the chance to reach new heights.

If McNamara was the next coach, Hull KR if anything would regress with his negative dull style of rugby league.

Unfortunately for for Hull KR they have a veneer of real talent, but no back up depth. If Hull KR could get all of their talent on the field at the one time, then they could do very well. Terence Campese and Albert Kelly constitute one of the most formidable halves combinations in Super League. Kevin Larroyer is a very good player. A good coach would have an injury free side in the top 8 quite easily.

Larroyer is far from a very good player. He's average st best.

I wouldn't say McNamara had much of an impact at the Roosters other than putting out the training cones.
