Nobody at Toulouse was taking the CC seriously. Plus it was held at Stade des Minimes now under renovation. Next Championship home game will resume normal good crowds.

That is because they have chips on both shoulders from being fans of a suburb of the prestigious Wigan club.

More accurately when your town and those around you are completely ruined by being forced under their council who then begin a process of spending billons on itself in an attempt at turning itself from the dirtiest & grubbiest town in northwest England and failing miserably then you might be a bit chippy as well

IT WAS NOT TOULOUSE RESERVES !!! You silly man.... :D

yes both sides were 'weakened' Toulouse started with only 5 of the players from last week's game, whilst Batley had 9.

You silly Budgie, look at the players missing !!

These are the first choice and will be playing (if fit) against Fev and who didn't play in the CC

Bastien Ader
Andrew Bentley
Rhys Curran
Johnathan Ford
Tyla Hepi
Mark Kheirallah
Mourad Kriouache
Con Mika
Seb Planas
Stan Robin
Greg White

A lot of class there...

The remaining six first choice players from the first 17 are :
K Bentley,
Boyer,
Puech
Maurel
Canet
Minga

or Leha, Marguerite and Sangaré depending on how the coach is feeling.

Just 150 at Toulouse yet there were more than 4 times than that at the rugby league outpost of York.

Clearly there just isn't enough support in Toulouse to sustain a Championship side and Catalans obviously have some grudge about playing on English soil as they refuse to compete outside of France which gives them an away win ratio since joining Super League of about 4%, which is an even lower away win percentage than Hemel Hempstead and Coventry. Therefore both Toulouse and Catalans should drop out of their respective leagues and play each other every week in France.

They could have a 10 minute 'winner takes all' match at half time at the summer bash in Blackpool too, easy to organise too with just plastic cones and a junior ref needed. Then everyone is happy.

pretty poor crowd for Toulouse if true. but 600 at York is hardly a great crowd either. how can any club support even a part time squad on 600 fans is questionable, clearly no appetite for professional rugby in York and never has been.
Toulouse on the other hand, if in super league pretty sure they would average close to 10k and above 10k if competitive.

There's little appetite for professional sport in York full stop. Regardless, I'd not be surprised if they finished the season with the 2nd highest average after Toronto which must therefore leave a total of 15 clubs struggling to support a part time squad, right?
