Salford have signed Ken Sio, I’m not sure if he takes their squad upto 21 players or if they already had 21 players and he’s their 22nd. Either way they don’t have enough players and need to make 5 or 6 more signings, something I very much doubt will happen given their dire financial state.

I'm starting to have a soft spot for Salford, because much as some people seem to want to see them die and leave SL, they are hanging on limpet style and - the horror - making some interesting signings. If Hastings stays fit and motivated they are quite likely to punch above their weight at times.

Few players coming in with a point to prove so hopefully Watson can galvanise them into a competitive unit. We've got plenty of quality in the halves and backs (hopefully Junior stays) so if the forwards can compete we could have enough not to be scrapping around in the bottom 4. Time will tell but in Watto we trust.

Don't go on their board looking for it. I could not believe what I was reading about his potential signing. The kid lost heart for it and walked away. Nothing wrong with that. would have been worse going through the motions collecting a wage.

Playing wise he scored 9 try's in about 12 SL games and is a big unit. If he can get anywhere near fitness wise he will be quite an astute piece of business in my opinion. Should have no problem commitment wise either as he has made the decision to try again

Yeah that's kind of what I picked up from an article I read somewhere. It's a little known fact Salford aren't the wealthiest club so we have to take the odd punt or 2 and the lad is looking to rebuild what looked like a promising career. Should be a perfect match (famous last words ). No doubt we'd have been criticised for signing an over the hill import and we'll get some stick for this but I'm optimistic.

Squad starting to fill up now so poor old Sir Kev is gonna need a new stick to beat his beloved Salford with.
