The penalty try was given because if the tackle wasn't around his head, he'd have been able to take the ball around nearer the sticks.
Wrong on two points, he was offside, but that was ignored because Ganson bullied Alibert into a penalty try, advantage was played and he scored the ball so wasnt prevented from scoring by the foul.
And there is no reason on earth to say he could have gone under the sticks at all.
It should have been a penalty to Les Cats for Halley being offside.
Fortunately Bradford are so pants not even Ganson could save them.
