Tuimoala Lolohea was a sensation when he first burst onto the scene at New Zealand Warriors, playing wing and full back more often than five eighth. He was blessed with speed and great agility. Then he moved to Wests Tigers, which was badly run, and he grew fat and uninterested in performing well. That attitude and physical condition he seems to have carried with him to Leeds. Only the change to Salford, and a serious and capable Welsh coach named Ian Watson, seems to have led to a change in attitude by Tuimoala, and a renewal of a very talented player.
