I think Super League 2019 will be reverting to a 14 team league based on franchising, if Toulouse are judged to be one of the strongest 14 clubs, they will be there on merit. This is what I believe will happen.

If that is the case then great, bring it on. If my club isn't one of the 14 strongest then thats our own fault, not any french team. BTW I am pro franchising.

LEEDS RHINO'S IMPLODE AND GO INTO MELTDOWN.

TORONTO WOLFPACK, TOULOUSE OLYMPIQUE, AND LEIGH CENTURIONS MAKE UP THE 14 IN SUPERLEAGUES NEW STRUCTURE.

We have already witnessed the Rhinos imploding and going into meltdown in 2016 cokey
For those fans that can't remember it was the season after we won the treble in 2015
The season after our middle 8's meltdown resulted in our 8th GF win in 2017

But you keep on dreaming pal

You may well ask why does any talented NRL player come to Super League?

David Mead wants to play full back. But there have been no openings in such a slot for him in the NRL. So when he was made a generous offer by Catalans, he gratefully accepted.

The Gold Coast Titans, where David Mead played for almost a decade, has give Super League talents like Albert Kelly and Gregory Bird.

Watch here and you will see why the Catalans have acquired a top quality full back:

What’s the fuss about Mead, he’s never been anything more than an average to slightly less than average NRL player who’s only claim to fame was a freakishly lucky half volley pick up of a wayward pass quite a few years ago.

Had he backed that up with a string of other amazing plays a la Slater, Inglis etc I would give him more credit for that one amazing play but years of mediocrity with a number of teams who’ve all subsequently made him surplus to requirements mark him as nothing more than an alright but not remarkable signing for Catalan Dragons.

He played for Gold Coast for 8 seasons and made 150 appearances. He only went because Gold Coast were stupid enough to sign Hayne on mega money.
He also signed a contract extension at Brisbane for 2018 too, so wasn’t surplus to requirements. It was actually Mead who asked for a release so he could take up the offer from Catalans.
Unfortunately, he’s not the answer to Catalans’ problems though.

Leeds fans don't get irony a bit like Americans. I'm afraid they are a bit up themselves.

At least Leeds fans are up themselves after 8 GF wins and not just one 5th placed finish after they choked away a playoff spot :)
