will the players have to take a pay cut, or will a number of players get released?whats happened has happened, but if they play this week with a full sqad, and win , will the opposition have a case to claim the 2 points? as they are playing players who are earning more than the allowances

they probably will lose 1 star but its possible to keep the big names by restucturing deals and losing fringe players

canberra lost glen lazarus

the dogs lost a stack of players from roy asotasi to steve price, braith anasta

we need an attacking centre, so well take inglis

typical AFL?

when RL is getting all the media he tries to jump in and mention AFL.

gallops leadership is showing here.

I worked for Richard Pratt when I was a kid, at Visyboard Warwick Farm.

I don't normally speak ill of the dead but he will forever be the only exception.

The day he croaked was a good day.

I disagree, he isn't moving to assist the game in any way, shape or form and that is his job. Making the Storm play for no points for the rest of the season is ludicrous and could have been easily sorted in a way that kept the fans reasonably happy. the fans are the most important thing and always will be.

He is doing what News have told him to do.

He should go immediately.

the dogs thing was a precedent.

you cant go easy on them just because they are an expansion team

if he had, the dogs fans wouldve burnt down foxstudios

i like him being tough

the storm arent the only club cheating

How desperate were the Storm for success? I feel sorry for the fans who have pretty much no reason to turn up and watch the Storm this season and maybe a few will not bother coming back all together.

Another bad day for Rugby league and plenty of ammo for union trolls and journalists now because this i must say is much worse than bloodgate.

At least tough action has been taken, maybe if the cap was to go up there would be less reason to cheat it.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Re: Storm Busted rorting the cap? : Thu Apr 22, 2010 11:13 am
Seems harsh - why does this keep happening in the NRL?

If I were the Storm I would simply pull out of the league for a year - recharge their batteries and come back next year - no point playing and training for nothing?

The problem is this will harm the Storm possibly into collapse - but on the flip side it might give some of the Sydney sides a chance :D

You might be able to take the trophies off the club but you will never be able to take the memories of their fans and those of their opponents in the various GFs

maybe in your country

in our country its saturation media coverage for the countries biggest sport

our leader comes across as strong and fair.

everyone in australia will be talking league for weeks

other sports might as well pack it up for a bit
