And apologies to Alan Rowley can be posted on this thread if you like
Dear Alan,
Im sorry you're a whining little bitch.
Im also sorry that the backers of Leigh have left and the club has financial difficulties(i thought that only happened to expansion clubs). It is sad whenever that happens. Im happy for you though that the rest of the rugby league world has expressed their sadness at the situation Leigh find themselves in, and Im sorry that some of your fans couldnt show the same level of class.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

You know what, Im disappointed Crusaders have gone, i think it is a sad day for the sport and a failing for the sport that we have 'retreated' from this. We should have been prepared to stick it out for at least 10 years regardless. For an organisation the size of the RFL they should have been able to make sure the game had a welsh SL presence even if it meant taking over and funding them themselves.
But Wakefield have got a franchise, pretty much by default and I hope to god they make a success out of it, I hope in three years time the tired arguments of this franchise process and the last process are irrelevant, I hope Wakefield have their new stadium, a squad of Wakefield developed young players, a decent level of success on the field and a clean financial history, I fear that we will be seeing the same 'just one more chance' arguments we have seen for the last two processes but I hope to god I am wrong. Good luck.

The bitter pill that's hardest to chew for most Fax fans (and no doubt the Fax BoD) is that we've produced a very successful Championship team without any rich backers.
HRLFC is run by enthusiastic local businessmen, who have put a lot of time, effort and some (but not mega bucks) cash into the club. It has produced a team that has been to two Grand Finals and an NRC Final in the last franchise period, using pretty much only the income generated within the club.
Fax has had it's financial problems in the past (and don't we keep on getting reminded of the begging buckets!), but it's a tightly run ship now, that only spends within its means.... but, to repeat, has been very successful.

I cant see a problem with that. In fact it seems a very healthy way to run a club as a fantastic part of a community.
Its not though, from what i can see how you compete at the elite level of sport.
Whilst it is a undoubtedly a good thing that Fax only spends within its means, whats within its means isnt SL level. And that currently goes for a few clubs.
