I have no respect for swaggering loudmouths, no matter how much money they have. His sneering derision of the clubs that dared to vote against his precious Golden Ticket shows the kind of person he is.

'Super League clubs voted against the introduction of marquee players. It is very frustrating but I will not give up on the idea.'

'Only 5 clubs voted for the marquee player allowance. Will keep trying for 3 more votes. Some great games this weekend.'

The doctor is far from mad, everything he does brings column inches and webpages to Salford's cause.

does he need 3 more votes? next year he'll only need 2 surely?

The more we here from the Doctor the more he comes across as a Maverick and an attention seeker.
He was going to sign all these world class players when in reality he has a team of misfits and players coming to the end of there careers with pie in the sky attempts for Burgess and Tomkins.
I don't know if he has a long term plan but if Salford have not progressed in the next couple of seasons I think he will pull out of the game and blame the RFL for not having his Maverick visions.

just like some of the foreign owners in football he comes in throwing money around thinking he knows everything.

Rather than this Golden ticket farce he should plough his money into his academy...wouldn't Salford fans prefer to watch a team with 5 or 6 quality local lads in their side than the current holiday makers?

Kosh - in light of the above can you please point us in the direction of these tweets of 'sneering derision' from Koukash?

A 6 page thread generated by Salford losing to St Helens. This board will explode when Widnes beat us next week.

Can't really throw youngsters into a team that finished bottom. Currently 5 or 6 of our young prospects are out on loan. Will be interesting if any feature in the next couple of seasons.

For the record whilst I understand the reasoning for a salary cap, it has done nothing to improve the competition.

This is true but aren't the big clubs kind of heavily outnumbered, it's like asking the SL clubs only whether there should be P & R, ofcourse they'd vote against, Turkeys don't vote for Christmas!

I think if Koukash wants to spend HIS money (not loan Salford monies, or borrow against the clubs books) then it's HIS money and this is NOT North Korea!!!!!!!!

I'm a London fan, not a Salford fan, by the way.

They really need to fans to show up first home game didn't they have like 7k there? And last night they may have gotten half of that, ino it was on a Thursday but it did kick off at 8 so plenty of time to get there. And if they slip towards the bottom the fans will most likely not show up so he may think why bother.

Im sorry i thought this was open to opinions, how wrong i could have been, was just going by what it looked like on TV, as the gantry is positioned on the large stand so all you see are the empty seats on the oppo stand, how many fans did saints take as the away stand was or a least seemed brimmed.

And i also said "may" which implies it is not a fact, so "may" have been half "may" have been more, so read up before you decide to jump on someone just to make a point.

If the team was the Manchester Devils they would get a lot more backing from the powers that be and also the people who watch, and the Dr would have not the same problems he is facing with him getting people backs up.

I dont mind salford nor the Dr the game does need a flash guy who can shake it up, RL just seems to limp along with many afraid of expansion and those in the RFL just dont seem to be connected with the fanbase anymore with stupid ideas and crap marketing.
