So RFL have managed to get a bigger tv deal with attendances and viewing figures tumbling. Well done RFL.

it doesnt necessarily show that as it only includes the games which reach the top 10

But the Championship (SL2) crowds will improve next season - won't they?

it is pretty much certain to bring that average down.

I'm not. Yes winning helps but your club make all the right noises about building that base to 10k and I really thought you'd get closer this year....
If they can push for the top 6 next year then I can see them getting close.

Poor old William. he spends countless hours on his calculator, to produce his splendid lists and tables of statistics, he even adds a touch of personality with stuff like "Tragic", and for what? Won't ANY of you look at them? Shame on you. William, your talents are wasted on this stony ground.

You'd know all about stony ground FA. You've spent the last 3 years sowing your own unique brand off bollox in defence of the indefensible. See you in the 2nd tier next year

Difficult to judge whether it was a good crowd at Bradford or not.

Better than last season's attendance against Cas... 8,214 compared to 7,724... but they didn't play Cas at home in Round 1 last season... they played Wakey at home in Round 1 last season and the attendance was 10,263.

That 10,263 attendance turned out to be Bradford's 2nd highest home attendance of 2013 (only the attendance against Leeds was higher... 12,016). If today's 8,214 attendance turns out to be their 2nd highest home attendance in 2014, they are in even bigger trouble than they already are... if that's possible.

What a contrived, if-my-aunty-had-balls load of piffle.

Why would our crowd v. Cas today be expected to be our 2nd highest home attendance?

Did you get Cas and Wakey mixed up in your urge to be negative? If we got 10263 for Wakey last time then it obviously won't drop by 2K this season.

Bradford Bulls home attendances 2014
V Castleford 8,214 <--------------- 2nd Highest Attendance
V London 5,410

V Salford 6,144
V Leeds 10,106 <--------------- Highest Attendance

Hull KR report a 4% rise in their attendances this season.
Or a rise of 17% instead depending on which way they spin it

http://www.superleague.co.uk/article/31 ... ttendances?

According to the figures reported in the link above... "Sunday’s match against Catalan Dragons was the club’s last on home soil in 2014 and took the total number of supporters passing through the turnstiles through the 106,000 barrier'. Increasing last year’s average crowd from 7,319 to 7,572 – a season on season increase of around four per cent – it is testament to the passion of Robins fans during an inconsistent year for the team".

Those figures are all utter bollox.

"With a big reduction in the number of complimentary tickets issued in 2014, we have actually seen the numbers of paying fans increase by 17 per cent at home matches this season so we’re delighted to be bucking the trend for sport in general"

If true, Hull KR must have given away at least 15,000 complimentary tickets last season.
