It makes me laugh when people even refer to Briers in the same breath as a great player like Long.

I hated Long when he was at Saints but at the same time i can admit he's a great player. Briers on the other hand doesn't even come close to lacing up Long's boots and his international record speaks for itself.

Briers will be forgotten about in five years time.

I wasn`t particulary saying Briers was on par with Long.
I have always been a great admirer of Sean,and was made up when he signed for Hull.
As for Briers, I am not a big fan of his,but I think he is still a good player.
But hey,opinions will always differ.
