There are some numpties on this thread. Typical RLFans to be honest.
Wakefield are making ground improvements. People who have decided to look at this negatively need to get a life, or at least think before engaging their brain.
"WTF is that?!" - It's the start of a new roof being built. What was you expecting after a few days? The finished article?!
"What's the point?" - Wakey will be in there for at least 2 more seasons (including this) if the ground gets the go ahead. They obviously would like to improve their facilities for their fans for that time period, build their fan base and move into the new ground with some momentum. If they average 7-8k at Belle Vue, it gives them a better chance of hitting a 5-figure average in the new ground than if they're averaging 5-6k.
Also, there is every chance that the stadium project gets turned down and they have to start again. This could add another year. Again, they don't want to wait. They're covering their backs and making sure everyone is looked after for as long as possible. And good on them, it's very forward thinking.
I'll ask this question to those posting ridiculous negative comments. What do you think the club should be doing?
