No , the west terrace

We dont have a west terrace. The RM stand runs down the west of the ground, the terrace runs down the east.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

No, like I say, I think the North stand and East extension have been contracted to the same developer to do at the same time.

But considering that the East Terrace extension has been ' being done ' for about 2 years now , best not mention anything until they actually start digging

Both projects are subject to seperate grant funding bodies and by the time the East Stand funding was approved the expected approval of the North Stand funding was not far away and the club decided to save some cash by combining both projects and awarding the contract for both to one main contractor. As it turned out the final approval for the North Stand took longer than was anticipated and the only work carried out on the East Stand todate has been the ground clearance i preparation for the pilings to go in, I would be suprised if the East Stand is started before the season commences as the emphasis will be on moving the current North Stand to the South in preparation for the North Stand work commencing in the new year.

But he mentioned the North stand , all I was doing was reminding him of a ' planned ' extension , that hasn't been done in the time span originally suggested , about 18 months late I'd suggest , so any further ' plans ' are just that , plans ' and most plans never happen

So best to just leave them alone IMO of course

Surely the East terrace extension is a much simpler construction than the design for the North stand , and considering the extra revenue it could potentially provide , it would have been sensible to get it done in the close season as quickly as possible if the funding is in place

Little bit harsh that bud. from when we started realistically pushing for Super League Craven Park has had a massive transormation.

Image
The ground with dog track and greyhound track was a real mess.

Image
A £400k new pitch makes a massive difference to the stadium

Image
The club enter Super league and add the North stand.

Image
We then start work on the 1st east stand extension.

Image
Image
East stand extension is finished. adding much need capacity.

Image
Hull Kr announce work on a new North stand will start in January.

We'vehardly being slacking IMO.

Got to be fair to HKR and said that they've done the best they can considering they were started off with an absolute mess of a stadium with the track and wind tunnel etc (remember the bits of carpet that were nailed over the corners of the in goal areas?!)
