The twin towers bit meant nothing to me, the atmosphere inside was/is better, yes the view is excellent from all over in the new one & I'm sure the facilities are very modern but I don't go to a rugby match for the toilets & bar & I've never had the need to use them nor would it make my day any better/worse for it. I don't recall the old Wembly's eat/drink kiosks been that bad.
Given the money spent I'd have expected better seats in the new one but at least they aren't too cramped.. The old wembley had facilities better than many peoples homes back in the 20s and I enjoyed sitting on wooden benches when I went in 82 as a young teen . I've sat/stood in varying parts of the old one I can honestly say being further away when standing at the ends didn't spoil it for me one iota.
It's a personal thing, I like the old one better.
IMO it just sentiment for the old place.
The cheap seats in the corners at the old place were miles from the pitch, although the atmosphere was excellent.
I think the problem with the new place is not the stadium, but the "reserved" seats down one side.
Its great when the FA Cup final is on and these seats are full, but when there are large numbers of empty seats it has a negative effect.
There ought to be a way of re-selling these seats if they are not going to be used.
