Unfortunately not all clubs can secure millions in grants for a new stand/roof.

The stand provides cover for a few thousand extra fans, improves atmosphere and looks ok without being flashy. Plus brings a little extra sponsorship in.

There is a new bar, renovation of restaraunt in boxes. New changing rooms upgrade.

This is over the past year. Let's be fair, I'm happy wakey are improving and tweaking the ground and living within their means.

Maybe it is polishing a turd but hopefully that turd will be flushed with Newmarket decision soon.

Not sure why certain fans are gnashing their teeth at the improvements at BV. It is a TEMPORARY structure, designed to improve the spectator experience in the SHORT TERM.

I fail to see how the club can be criticised for that.

I agree, Wakefield's new board should be praised for at least doing something after years of empty promises. However if a new ground isn't under construction (and I mean properly under construction, not a Castleford style photo shoot of the CEO sticking a shovel in the ground) come licence time next time round, then serious questions need to be asked.

I just find it odd that on the eve of a decision to possibly move away from Belle Vue they finally start spending money on ground improvements.

Its quite simple Easty, the new board PROMISED improvements to BV.

After years of the old board promising and not delivering we have no choice but to comply.

The clubs running within its means.

Wakey doesn't have one stand half as good as the south stand. How you fit 12k in BV is beyond me.
