Or its a fairly small stand, in stadium which is big enough at the moment, which would cost a fortune for very little additional income, if any?

Let all the doubters keep doubting and those who believe keep believing.

We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.

But you’ve got to keep believing.

You mean the Western Terrace chief and, yes, there is no need and no scope for it to be covered given the overall capacity elsewhere in the ground and the constraints of the surrounding houses.

These are the downsides to a club remaining in, and owning, its historic stadium whilst paying for redevelopment itself. It's a compromise all Leeds fans are willing to accept - much rather that than be tenants in a soulless identikit football ground.

OMG, a Leeds fan I agree with!!

Its a sad fact of life that at Wakey we've been told that our 'historic stadium' - and before your fellow fans start with their supercilious claptrap about BV again I would remind them that it is (I believe) the WORLDS oldest purpose built RL stadium - is not good enough for SL. Given the lack of space around the ground, plus the inconvenience of not actually owning it anymore, allied to the councils inability to fund a stadium we will have to make do with a stadium built for the community trust as a 'sweetener' for development permissions.

I like BV, it is steeped in history. I like Headingley, and the 'old fashioned' south stand must be worth several points a season to your team, but parking is a nightmare and it would be nice to have a lid on the western terrace. I like Wheldon Road, and think it's a shame that Cas are in the same boat as us re. moving.

I DO NOT like the Galpharm, or DW, or similar 'posh' stadia because they lack that visceral tug of awareness of history. I was never lucky enough to see the Fox brothers, Toppo or any of the Trinity greats play at BV - but they have left something behind because I swear BV has a soul that whispers in your ear when you visit!

If and when we get a new stadium, I hope somehow that this soul will transfer - in the meantime I think BV is like me - well past its best but still lovable!

If Santas listening - I quite like the Keepmoat and the Stadium of light!

I am returning from my self imposed exile just to say, that's the best ever description of what Belle Vue and the old grounds like Wilderspool, the Boulevard, Fartown and Central Park etc have over any of the newer stadiums which will NEVER EVER attain that type of aura!

Of course they will, over time, and as new legends are born.

Despite being a founder member of SWAG and thus an advocate of NM I still couldn't agree more. No one at SWAG has ever wanted to leave BV. Sadly you only have to look at the rantings of the brain dead like Smokey and co to realise that none of what you hold dear resonates anywhere within their souless bodies.

It's sad but sometimes you just can't fight the tide. There is no one not even Mr Glover with the money and more important the will to rebuild BV to a standard that SL clearly want. This is compounded now by the shear number of new stadiums that have come on line in the last 10 years. You and I may get it, but my 18 year old son who has grown accustomed to modern stadia doesn't. He hates BV and he's not alone.

Watching Trinity at NM should it happen will I hope be fantastic, but it will not be BV thus home to most or at least not to start with. Find a new team of the sixties playing there and it may become "home" quicker than we thought :D

Agreed, most fans are starry eyed about anything that happened over 10 years ago. Most players don't become club legends until a certain amount of time has elapsed. I would imagine Warrington fans are the most settled in their new ground considering how much success they have had since they got there compared to more recent times at Wilderspool. All things are relative so I can imagine it's been harder for Wigan fans and now Saints fans to adjust - ditto Leeds fans. I have to say it may prove easier to win Trinity fans over especially if some success follows.

New grounds are soulless places, give me the Boulevard, Central Park over KC and DW anyday.
