So what's the VT jury verdict on this nasty piece of work? Watch it a couple of times, gets worse each time.

I bet Wane's making notes about technique there.

I can't actually see what he's done there. Twisted the foot to the left?

That's an assault. I would hazard a guess at ACL rupture.

Police intervention for me on that. At no point could that every be described as being part of sport.

Elima did a similar thing to Aaron Hereimia in the first game of the 2014 season. Fortunately Hereimia was not seriously injured

disgusting!, should be banned from playing the game ever again, absolutely no justification for doing that.
the ref is looking straight at the tackle, why could he not see what was happening?

he's essentially done this, a Heel hook which is barred from use in competition until you're a black belt, as it will LOVE your knee up badstyle, on this if you get caught, you'll have like 6 months of damage done before you even feel it.

And therein lies evidence no-one should ever pay any attention whatsoever to anything you ever post. Your observations on the game from this point forward (for those who didn't know it already) have just been rendered null and void and moronic.

Well obviously I can see he's being naughty and applying pressure to the leg that he has no right to. But what I can't tell from that is what he actually physically does at the end. Does he just rotate the foot? I'm watching on an old work PC with a 13 inch screen, it's hardly easy to see.

Take the rest of the season out to think about what a t0sser you are, son, and if you're lucky, we might let you play again next year.

Worse than Flower in my opinion (premeditated attempt to seriously injure an opponent rather than reaction) and deserves a longer ban. Anyone know if this has been to disciplinary yet and if so how many matches did he get?

Agreed. Whilst Flower's was (very) bad, it was a case of rage and lunacy, rather than a cynical attempt to severely injure.

Re: Is Rugby league becoming soft? : Fri Jun 19, 2015 11:03 am
A couple of weeks ago during the Bradford vs Doncaster game Matt Groat struck Lee Gaskell in the jaw with his elbow in an off the ball incident. Gaskell is now out for possibly 8 weeks, which is a big blow for Bradford's promotion push as he's one of the Bulls major attacking threats, however Groat is sitting out just 3 games and claims he never intended to hurt Gaskell. I think it situations like that, the players causing the injury should face a ban of the same length as the injured player is out for.
