Same age, I have aches & pains and haven't played RL since school so I'm sure you're a better judge (although of course we're all allowed thoughts / opinions). Out of curiosity, if I may, how many years did you play and to what level (it seriously is just curiosity)?
I started playing decent level amateur at 19/20 until about 33, with a couple years of semi-pro during that. Amateur is/was brutal with hindsight. It was a badge of honour to play while injured which again I would question with hindsight.
If there are any death threats being made, they need to be reported to the Police and dealt with properly.
Good to see Rohan Smith throw his two penneth behind Wellens. The tackles were the wrong technique and he needs to pack it in. I'm sure he realises it himself, especially if he speaks to Iggy afterwards as they often do when these things occur.

Or just ban him???
I was hoping to quote his post actually criticising Leigh fans to gauge his opinion on the threats being sent to Asiata.

If he's banned you definitely won't get an answer (not from that persona) ... if you want to ask a direct question of him, go for it ... I too would be interested.
You can't really have it both ways though.

The semi-pro bit intrigues me, may I ask who with?

Good to see Richard Silverwood sharing his view by saying.........
Despite all of this talk and the dismay that Asiata wasn’t banned, Richard Silverwood has gone on social media to explain why the tackle on Paasi wasn’t foul play:
“As much as you don’t like to see players injured, if Holmes isn’t coming in the other side it is a perfect legs tackle by Asiata. It’s the hit low one side, hit high the other that’s bent Paasi In half. Do we go 1 in the tackle next.

Having now seen a link to the 2 tackles, which I could replay, I would agree it is a technique that might be questionable, but not malicious. The tackle on Paasi I maintain is copybook, with the arms forward & shoulder into the thigh. Without that level of impact Paasi would have been over. I am more questioning of the Walmsley tackle. He effectively throws his body, head first with arms down, in the way of a rampaging Walmsley's legs. It would be virtually impossible to deliberately time that so he hits at the split second Walmsley's foot is planted, but it doesn't look text book in slowmo.
