Hopefully the RFL and SL will merge again. Have an England Lions v Kangaroos 3 match Series every other year. 3 match series v NZ at times. No RLWC. No play-offs. 12 in SL, home and away to decide league title. Rename SL to RFL Premiership, CC Final in July every year, top 8 from the Premiership from the previous year go into the QFs. 1 weekend of Cup rugby in May, 1 in June and as said the final in July.

why does that matter? who would do a better job? we are a union of clubs, of course the clubs should have a say in what happens.

Nice thought but if the RFL and SL merge, it will still not be in their power to re-establish regular test series...........

The actual shape and content of such a merger may be fun.

SL didn't want anything to do with the clubs in League one, and didn't want to share a penny of the SKY deal with the Championship.

Many mergers are far more "Takeovers"......
