WAKEFIELD TRINITY - The PRIDE of Sporting Wakefield

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

Maybe you should stop being so bitter and look at how our crowds have already improved.
We are currently up about 30% on last year (for the equivalent games) and could reach an average of 8,000 at the end of the season.
I know your experience has not been great but that doesn't mean everyone will experience the same.

We are all in a very good place today and you ain't going to spoil it.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

I wouldnt have thought an extra 2k at a new stadium would be too difficult.

It was that sort of thinkimg that sunk the Titanic and cost 1,500 lives

Congratulations Wakefield!

Apologies, but I've not been following your stadium situation too closely, but what's the next step now that planning permission has been granted?

Is all the funding in place etc?

Not bitter at all

Correct , yours could be worse , or it could be better , that depends on how much work your club are willing to put into making sure it is a positive experience

So yes , enjoy , but also be realistic , it isnt the end , just the begining , how it ends depends on what happens outside of the building of a stadium , that is the easy bit

Good stuff.

So, like I said, what's the next step?

Is there anymore red tape to get through, or can (in theory) work on the site begin as soon as?

A funding model is in place and the SoS has pretty much said that the developer has to prove this by 15th August, along with a few other legal agreements.

That may be true, we (the humble fan) don't know the mechanics of the operation yet or the costs and neither do you, so picking a figure out of the air and trying to pass it off as a fact make you look (as has already been pointed out), somewhat bitter!!
We are having a good day, a well deserved good day i might add, and numpty's such as yourself cannot spoil it!
