“You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”

This Saints team ain't nothing compared to the one ten years ago, but the rest of the teams in this country have fallen further, their opponents tonight being a prime example.

Markedly the number of bought in players for Leeds is greater than in the past when they won things. Not sure if Saints are that "home grown" when you look carefully but maybe they have "Bought better"??

This sintellins team….

Everyone else is so crap they’re not even tested and can cruise around in 2nd gear. Catalans will bend over, like all the pretender teams do in the grand final.

Except Catalans obviously.

It’s an illusion. Fixtures are uneven plus Covid, saints have way more gears than Catalans and are loads better so them finishing top, don’t read into it.

There is literally one decent team in the comp. Catalans are decent in theory, but we’ll be shown how “decent” they are next week.

The game in this country is in an absolutely appalling state. I guess sintellibs fans will be happy though, so hey ho.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

You couldn't be more wrong with Saints, we played 12 acadamy produced players the other week against Salford. Wigan. Leeds and Saints are way ahead of the rest of Superleague, these teams think long term whilst other teams just survive on a quick fix of average overseas players.

Saints have pivotal players in Coote, Welsby, Lomax, Dodd, Roby and Knowles there is only one overseas player there the rest came through the acadamy.

I said I was "not sure" so thanks for the post. When Wigan were winning the pots they had a high level of quality kids coming through, I can even go back to Widnes and how powerful their home grown teams were when they were winning trophies.

Not too sure Widnes had that many home grown players

Someone’s upset that his team got absolutely mullered by St Helens in the semi lol
